Big win for Brighton

27 Jan 2012

VisitBrighton has won the bid for the Labour Party Annual Conference in 2013.

To be held in September 2013 the Labour Party Annual Conference will take place at the newly refurbished Brighton centre with the event predicted to attract over 8,000 delegates and visitors bringing £20million of economic impact to the city.

Accommodation will be provided by hotels across the city, with restaurants, shops and tourist attractions also expected to benefit via the conference’s social itinerary.

“The entire city of Brighton is delighted with this event which will be a fantastic showcase for us,” says head of tourism and leisure at Brighton & Hove City Council, Adam Bates. “As a cosmopolitan city with a range of exciting event venues and attractions, the Labour Party will be given a warm welcome and delegates will be able to take advantage of our premier conference destination. We’d like to thank all those who have helped us secure this bid for the city, including the continued support of Trust Reservations”.
