HSBC’s former chief economist, Dennis Turner, will open the Summer Eventia 2012 conference.
Until recently advising lending bankers on UK economic trends not only at national level, but also on industries and regions, Turner will provide a detailed look at the economic landscape and how it’s impacting upon events and business tourism.
The keynote speech will start the two-day Summer Eventia Conference on 23 April at King’s Place in London.
“We passed on having an economic outlook keynote in Cardiff last year but the feedback from our members certainly indicated that there was a real appetite out there for some insightful and expert economic advice as we face another challenging year,” says Simon Hughes. “I’m delighted that Dennis will be providing the context for some of the really interesting themes and issues that we’ve been gathering through our membership surveys for debate and discussion at TSE12.”
