Piggotts, the provider of branding, marquees and Christmas Lights, has been awarded a contract by Pico UK to manufacture install and build creative visual displays for the Hong Kong Tourist Board, for a two-week promotion to be held on South Molton Street in London’s busy West End. The structures will be on display until September 25.
The promotion aiming to encourage tourists to visit Hong Kong, was formally opened by Donald Tsang, the chief executive of Hong Kong, and incorporated a number of creative displays provided by Piggotts, including stands for three huge dragons, one stretching up to 40 feet long, and interactive units for all displays.
A number of the displays were manufactured by Piggotts, using wood, MDF, fibreglass and acrylics. Full colour inkjet graphics were also produced to create the stunning effects.
As part of the contract, the company, part of the Crown Group, was also selected to provide an extensive range of flags and banners to dress the outdoor event.
Lee Harvey, managing director, Piggotts, said: “We were delighted to be awarded this high-profile contract that really enabled us to demonstrate the breadth of our expertise at Piggotts. Our teams have worked around the clock to deliver some superb creative and interactive visual displays for the event and we are pleased to see so many people enjoying them.”
