Zibrant’s new forum already a must go

24 Nov 2011

After its first running last week Zibrant’s new healthcare forum has already been called ‘a must in the industry diary’.

Around 100 healthcare meetings professionals from across Europe attended Healthcare Meetings Forum 100 at the Royal College of Physicians in London. Organised by events agency, Zibrant, participants included buyers from pharmaceutical companies, events agencies and suppliers. A white paper based on the event’s discussion is to be published in the New Year.

Presentations focused on challenges faced by the healthcare meetings sector, international and UK perspectives on managing compliance, strategic meetings management programmes, the use of technology to complement strategic approach to managing meetings and crisis management.

In a post-event survey, a total of 98 per cent of respondents said that they had learned something from the event while 99 per cent said that they would change something about their practice as a result.

“We were delighted by the openness of participants in sharing their experiences and the resulting insights gained, the attendance, the feedback and the excitement for another event in the future as well as the enthusiastic networking that took place,” says Zibrant’s Hannah Wilkinson. “The healthcare meetings sector has hitherto been quite insular but there now seems to be an appetite to share best practice, particularly in areas such as meetings policy, strategic meetings management and globalisation.”

For her part, AstraZeneca’s Joanna Lawlor, was delighted with the day. “The whole day was professionally run, with an excellent representation from all key areas of the events world. On its premiere, it’s established itself as a must in the pharmaceutical industry diary,” she says

Registrations for the event raised £2000 for industry charity Meetings Industry Meetings Needs (MIMN), with a cheque presented to MIMN Trustee and Director Tim Chudley on the day.
