Kathryn James of the NEC has been elected chair of the Association of Events Venues for the next two years at the organisation's AGM.
At the same time, Simon Kent of Harrogate International Centre and Archie Glendinning from Royal Highland Centre were elected to the board while Graz Kalenik from the Barbican Centre, Steve Brice from O2 re-elected.
James paid tribute to the work done by her predecessor, Graham Stephenson.
“I am delighted to be taking over as chair of the AEV from Graham whom I would like to thank for steering the association through some challenging times," she said.
